December 2025 – Planning Permission Secured to Redevelop Existing Social Club to Provide New Purpose Built Social Club and 8 flats
Planning permission has been secured for a mixed-use development along one of Oxford’s main thoroughfares, on a site within the Iffley Road Conservation Area. The development comprises eight flats mainly at upper level but with one at ground floor in the old Victorian part of the building which is to remain. The new social club venue will be at ground floor in the new build section of the property following the demolition of the existing somewhat outdated club buildings.
The development has been carefully designed by Oxford based TSH Architects to complement the existing streetscene, which includes late Victorian townhouses as well as high-quality modern development. The proposed development includes energy efficiency measures such as air-source heat pumps and photovoltaic panels and a small rooftop amenity garden area for the use of the residents.
