JPPC has been successful in securing planning permission for the redevelopment of the former Co-op supermarket in Thame town centre for a private client.

The existing premises are tired and following closure of the supermarket do not positively contribute to the Conservation Area or the vitality of the town centre.   The proposed scheme delivers a sensitive and contemporary mixed-use scheme with flexible commercial space on the ground floor and nine new apartments on the upper floors.  The contemporary design of the scheme will greatly enhance the Conservation Area and the public realm, whilst adding to the vitality and vibrancy of Thame as a local market town.

JPPC advised on the planning strategy and planning matters including the updated Neighbourhood Plan and coordinated with the wider project team to submit a pre-application and the planning application.   South Oxfordshire District Council Planning Committee gave approval in August 2025.
