Jan 2026 – Planning permission secured for two dwellings in Middle Barton

JPPC have been successful in securing planning permission for two new dwellings in Middle Barton, West Oxfordshire, for a private client.

The site sits on the edge of the village on a site opposite the village primary school. The application site is an area of grassland on which there had been a number of refused applications and dismissed appeals for residential development in the 1980s and 1990s. The application proposed two bungalows, designed to sit comfortably adjacent to the existing bungalows to the west of the site and to not cause harm to the nearby listed building and conservation area. We worked proactively throughout the process to overcome issues relating to trees, ecology and drainage and the development will provide two dwellings in a sustainable location, within walking distance to the services and facilities that Middle Barton has to offer.

Planning permission was granted in January 2026 under delegated powers by West Oxfordshire District Council.
