New Overnight Accommodation Approved at South Oxfordshire Golf Club

South Oxfordshire District Council has granted permission for a development comprising 20 units of overnight accommodation along with ancillary spa and staff facilities at Badgemore Park, just outside of Henley on Thames. As well as the 18 hole golf course and clubhouse, the Estate also benefits from gym facilities and provides a venue for conferences and weddings as well as office accommodation. The provision of sensitively designed overnight accommodation will help to supplement existing revenue streams and help the Estate to diversify, whilst improving the offer of short-stay accommodation in and around Henley for which there is high demand, particularly in the summer months. The new buildings have been designed to be sensitive to their surroundings (the site is within the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), to ensure the protection of existing trees of high amenity value and to incorporate high levels of sustainability within their design.
